Celebration of the life of 

John Pollard

On 1st July we all celebrated the life of John Pollard. The event was attended also by members of John and Margaret's family. We even had a surprise  visit from Kevin Downham who provided live music with his accordion.

50 years together

24th June was a night to remember for Lorna and Michael as we celebrated their 50 year wedding aniversary. We got as far as Mr Beveridge's Maggot, and it was going very nicely, until, boff, we had a power failure. So we took this time to take our break and continued about a half hour later when power resumed. Never a dull moment!

A splendid time was had by all

Members and guests got together for a really enjoyable evening on the 20th to celebrate Patrick's 90th birthday and also Jeannie's birthday.

Jeannie did a great job organising the evening as well as calling alongside, host, Peter and Kevin Prigmore. Indeed, Kevin and his brother Graham of Kelly's Eye treated us to the music.

John Green entertained us with a few delightful ditties and also sang the calling to 42nd Street, a square dance, which went down well.

We all wished Patrick and Jeannie happy birthday, ate the cake and drank the wine. We look forward to other fun events.
