We’re a friendly, supportive folk dance group and very much welcome new members

We aim to have fun and socialise, while learning and practising folk dancing in its various forms

We laugh a lot, especially when we go wrong! 

You dont need to bring a partner - there's always someone to dance with

We take a short refreshment break midway

How much

Visitors are not charged for their first visit

Annual Membership Subscription is £5.00. 

It is due after the AGM in September and entitles members to call dances at “Club Caller” evenings, vote and comment at the club AGM and to be eligible for election to the  Committee

The weekly attendance fee for club members is £3; non-members/visitors £4

No charge to non-dancing paid-up members who attend for social reasons

Our folk dance club enjoys a mixture of English Country, English Court (Playford), American Square & Contra

Our dances are easy to learn. Dance callers explain and help us to practise before an actual dance. Experienced dancers are on hand to help newcomers master the steps and, importantly, have a super evening.

Dances are called by club and visiting callers mostly to recorded music, but we do feature live bands several times a year, especially at our SPECIAL EVENTS

In addition to our dances, the club organises social activities for members to meet, relax and catch up.
